She wrote and hosted the long-form television series ""The Haunting of Virginia"" and collaborated with the BBC on the award-winning series ""Pocahontas."" She teaches writing workshops and seminars at several universities as well as a weeklong writing camp in Ocracoke Island, North Carolina. She lives in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
