It was a great opportunity for a man named Charles Darwin to introduce his ideas about the origin of mankind and it seemed the world had been waiting for such an idea. It would be the doing away with God and the Bible. God was no longer needed as man's new understanding indicated that he had come from literally nothing after a big bang occurred and our planet was seen as, not a glorious creation of God but a chance evolution of elements.
