Gender or Giftedness is written for men and women who sincerely want a biblical understanding of the role of women in the church. It is a study which moves readers from arguing about the difficult texts to creating a framework within which to understand those texts. The challenge is to see all of Scripture through the paradigm of Redemption rather than seeing the Fall as normative. The questions to answer are: "Does gender determine ministry or does ministry flow out of call and giftedness?" and "On what basis do we make this decision?" It is offered in honour of women who long to serve God with enthusiasm, dedication, passion and with all of their gifts and is intended to stimulate healthy discussion about the role of women in the church.
