by James Kavanagh (Author), Waterford Press (Author)

The fabled Great Smoky Mountains National Park is a world-renowned tract of protected wilderness containing the highest species diversity in the US national park system. This includes 30 species of salamanders, over 200 species of birds, a large population of Black Bears, and high-altitude forests more characteristic of the northern United States. To better acquaint you with the rich natural history of the Great Smoky Mountains, we have packaged together three portable references--Birds, Trees & Wildflowers, and Wildlife--in an attractive acetate bag. Each guide features beautiful illustrations of over 100 common species, as well as an ecoregion map showing top bird-finding, botanical, or wildlife-viewing hotspots. Laminated for durability, these lightweight, 12-panel folding pocket guides comprise a terrific three-pack for educators, learners, naturalists, birders, botanists, and wildlife enthusiasts who wish to forge deeper connections with the Great Smoky Mountains' iconic landscapes through their attendant flora and fauna. Made in the USA.
