He has worked for Columbia, Lorimar, Paramount, Disney, NBC, ABC, and CBS as a writer, producer, and executive. Currently he is chair emeritus of the screenwriting department at UCLA, and is the founder of the Lew Hunter Superior Screenwriting Colony in Superior, Nebraska.
