In this monograph, Aristotle's Greek text is first discussed via a close reading, followed by a comparative analysis of the translations of the relevant section of the Nicomachean Ethics into Arabic, Latin and Hebrew, followed by a discussion of the varied approaches taken by the major commentarists working within philosophical traditions in Greek, Arabic, Latin and Hebrew.
