Dusting off his detective skills to investigate her nefarious activities gives him a renewed zest for life.

Meanwhile, Claire is catering to her customer with dogs by baking up a new line of dog treats along with her famous pastries. Unfortunately, someone else in town has the same idea, and it's Claire's least favorite person, her ex-husband's new trophy wife.

Jane has something going on at Tides besides the mysterious guest. Mike is acting weird and Jane is worried... not that long ago, he mentioned something about their future. Is he ready to pop the question and does Jane want him to?
