DeCandido was born and raised in New York City to a family of librarians. He has written over two dozen novels, as well as short stories, nonfiction, eBooks, and comic books, most of them in various media universes, among them \u003ci\u003eStar Trek, World of Warcraft, Starcraft, Marvel Comics, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Serenity, Resident Evil, Gene Roddenberr\u003c\/i\u003e\u003ci\u003ey'\u003c\/i\u003e\u003ci\u003es Andromeda, Farscape, Xena, \u003c\/i\u003e and \u003ci\u003eDoctor Who\u003c\/i\u003e. Keith is also a musician, having played percussion for the bands Don't Quit Your Day Job Players, Boogie Knights, and Randy Bandits, as well as several solo acts. In what he laughingly calls his spare time, Keith follows the New York Yankees and practices \u003ci\u003ekenshikai\u003c\/i\u003e karate. He still lives in New York City with his girlfriend and two insane cats. \u003cp\u003e\u003c\/p\u003eSarah Shaw read Greek and English at Manchester University, where she took a doctorate in English. She studied Pali at Oxford, and is on the steering committee of the Oxford Centre for Buddhist Studies. She is a mother, teacher, and writer.
