West Virginia native Marie Manilla is a graduate of the Iowa Writers' Workshop. Her stories have appeared in The Chicago Tribune, Prairie Schooner, Mississippi Review, Calyx Journal, Kestrel, Portland Review, GSU Review, and other journals.
