Do you tend to forget? Ever written a note to remind yourself of something? You don't have to be human long to know we all do this. Details get fuzzy in the rear view mirror the farther we move away from them. Keeping truth close to our hearts and minds is imperative. And yet I find through this journey of intentional remembering God through His word a deeper longing in my heart in times of struggle. A longing to not be forgotten by God. I find this longing on dark days when feelings and circumstances scream louder than the truth of His Presence and His Promises. The deeper cry of my heart in these times is like the words of an old hymn by Fanny Crosby "Pass me not, O gentle Savior, hear my humble cry, while on others Thou art calling do not pass me by." As we remember He reminds us so gently Matthew 28:20b "And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age."
