Author Biography

Philip Steele is the author of many nonfiction books for children. He has worked for publishers such as Dorling Kindersley, Quarto, HarperCollins, Macmillan, and numerous others. Steele also writes tourism and guide books for adults, display text for museums and libraries, and facts for websites. He regularly attends the London Book Fair.John Farndon is a London-based writer who studied earth sciences at England's Cambridge University and has taken a keen interest in the natural world ever since. He is the author of many books on the subject of the earth and its atmosphere, including DK's Eyewitness Weather and How the Earth Works. He has been shortlisted three times for the Junior Prize of the Aventis Prizes for Sciences.
