She's also Chairperson of ANU Productions, a Director of the National Folklore Foundation, and current President of the Royal Society of Antiquaries of Ireland. Her research focusses on Literary and Oral Interaction in Irish Folklore and she has written on the intellectual history and development of Irish folkloristics and archives amongst other aspects of folklore studies and oral history.
