This book is dedicated to my mom, Ruth Lynn Johnson; God rest her soul. It was my mom

who made it clear to me that I was a screen slave and she helped me realize the importance of

engaging with her while in her presence. Every second with each other matters because when

your time is up, there's nothing you can do about it.

Hopefully, after you read this book, you will begin to take back control of your life by not

allowing a handheld device to dictate your actions, thoughts, and emotions. I have seen it

firsthand in my life, and with my wife, kids, family, and friends. Honestly, I am tired of it! It

has damaged my relationships in the past because I put more time into my phone than the

person I was with.
